The Lord ministered somthing to me that I learned some 20 years ago from Pastor Chankersingh.
It comes from 1 Samuel 7:10 the word ‘AS’
“And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel. “
The word “As” is an action word…as we go about our Father’s business the LORD will -no if’s or but’s, HE will THUNDER on our behalf.
Well 20 years later the Lord is showing me the same word in another place in scripture.
Matt 28:9
“And AS they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.”
It was the Mary and Mary at the tomb receiving the Gospel message…’HE IS RISEN’
Upon instruction, they went with the good news….but look at what happened to them AS they went…
- They Met Jesus
- He spoke with them
- They responded to His invitation…they came
- They held on to Him….holding on is imperitive to your walk with Him
- They worshipped Him.
Now the setting was right so HE instructed them …the great commission.
Without fail….we have the opposition sandwiched between our time spent with the Lord and the fulfillment of our call….but we are assured HE is with us.
The Lord wants us to GO and AS we are doing the work of the Lord HE is doing a work in our lives.
