Just some thoughts….
Remember 1Sam 16….how Samuel anointed David…
Well, somtimes we get worried about stuff and want to stay in that area..then the Lord comes to us and says…Samuel…how long will you mourn for Saul…don’t you know it is time to fill your horn with oil and go?”
To me the Lord is saying we cannot stay in our trials…we have to fill up ourselves with the oil or the anointing-His Word and Worship..and move on. The Lord gave specifics to Samuel…Go to the house of Jesse…
I love the next line…..
“I HAVE PROVIDED ME A KING”
God provided HIMSELF a king….just like Genesis 22:18 with Abraham and Isaac
God provided HIMSELF a lamb….
This tells me GOD is in charge of everything…HE PROVIDES HIMSELF A WAY OUT…we do not have to worry…we are just vessels for the greater work of God providing Himself what pleases HIm.
Remember Isa 55 (I think) when it says ‘IT PLEASED THE LORD TO BRUISE HIM” ….God was pleased when Jesus took our sins…God was providing Himself reconciliation with mankind!!!!
He is our great Jehovah Jireh…our provider….that is what Abraham saw Him to be when he provided the Lamb…so Abraham declared God’s name to be “JEHOVAH JIREH….in the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.”
Let us not worry today….Jehovah Jireh will provide Himself a way out!!!!
